Welcome CADS Students!

Thank you for your interest in Auburn’s student program in the Office of Trademark Management & Licensing.

The Office of Trademark Management & Licensing works with more than 400 manufacturers and top retailers to create and sell Auburn product that connects alumni, fans and students to the university. A key part of developing good product is understanding the consumer. We are developing a program that will involve 8-10 Auburn students who will be charged with providing key trend and lifestyle information to our office which will be shared with Auburn’s licensees and retailers. In addition, we have selected two retailers and four licensees that will participate with the student group and provide industry expertise on relevant topics. Students will have the opportunity to hear from manufacturers and retailers on topics such as product sourcing and design, trend analysis, corporate social responsibility, production, buying, etc. In return, students will be asked to create trend boards and provide analysis on topics such as gameday apparel trends for female and male students, campus (non-game day) apparel trends and the retail landscape and shopping behaviors (where do you shop and how/what influencers to you follow and take inspiration from). Students will present their findings to the industry panel. Licensees will also provide products and designs for student feedback. Students selected will be required meet twice monthly to discuss their research and speak with industry professionals.
