Welcome CADS Students!
Thank you for your interest in Auburn’s BELIEVE student program in the Office of Trademark Management & Licensing.
The OTM&L works with more than 400 manufacturers and top retailers to create and sell Auburn product that connects alumni, fans and students to the university. A key part of developing good product is understanding the consumer. We will select 8-10 Auburn students who will be charged with providing key trend and lifestyle information to our office which will be shared with Auburn’s licensees and retailers. In addition, we have selected retailers and licensees that will participate with the student group and provide industry expertise on relevant topics. Students will have the opportunity to hear from manufacturers and retailers on topics such as product sourcing and design, trend analysis, corporate social responsibility, production, buying, careers, etc. In return, students will provide at least three different trend boards on specific areas.
Students will present their findings to the industry panel. The panel, along with our office, will select one student from this group who will represent Auburn at New York Fashion Week in February. To learn more about the UofNYFW program visit their Instagram page @uofnyfw
Students selected for the BELIEVE program will be required to meet in person to discuss their research and speak with industry professionals. BELIEVE meetings will be on the following days/times:
September 17 – via Zoom – this is an introduction meeting – 5:30-6:30
October 8 – in person 5:30- 6:45 (location TBD)
October 22 – in person 5:30-6:45
November 12 – in person 5:30-6:45
November 19 – in person 5:30-6:45
*December 6 – if needed
**Applications are due by September 11th @ 5:00 PM CT
***Students who graduate in December 2024 are not eligible to attend UofNYFW. However, you can participate in the BELIEVE program.
