Masks and Face Coverings
Auburn University is requiring face coverings on campus both inside and outside university buildings, including classrooms and laboratories. This requirement applies to everyone on campus and also extends to those attending university events in non-university buildings. Find all of the information about masks, face coverings and other initiatives to stop the spread of Covid-19 from A Healthier U.
Additionally, Alabama Governor Kay Ivey’s amended Safer at Home order requires individuals to wear a mask or other facial covering when in public and in close contact with other people statewide.
The Centers for Disease Controls (CDC) recommends the use of cloth face masks in public places to help limit disease transmission. According to the CDC, “Cloth face coverings fashioned from household items or made at home from common materials at low cost can be used as an additional, voluntary public health measure.” More information on protective face coverings, including how to wear and care for them, can be found here.
Auburn University has licensed a select number of companies to produce officially licensed, AU branded face masks, neck gaiters and other face coverings. Please see the information below about purchasing AU branded masks or face coverings for various campus constituents along with a list of wholesale licensees (for bulk/custom orders) and retail partners (for individual items with standard designs).
Campus Departments
All requests for branded face coverings should use the form at the bottom of this page. All other departmental requests for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) supplies including but not limited to masks, gloves, hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes, etc. must be requested through Procurement and Business Services.
Student Organizations
Student organizations recognized by Auburn University may use limited AU branding on masks and face coverings. The use of Auburn’s brand on these items must follow the same guidelines as other licensed products depending on the type of organization.
